Room Attendant

Park Place Hotel & Conference Center is hiring a Room Attendant for onsite work in Traverse City, MI. In this role, you help keep guest rooms and public spaces clean, comfortable, and ready for every arrival, with a focus on organized, proactive service that supports guest satisfaction.

As a Room Attendant, you will follow sanitation standards, use appropriate cleaning equipment, and handle manual tasks as needed to support smooth room turnover. The position also includes responding professionally to guest requests or inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to maintain a pristine environment.
• Complete window cleaning and floor care using the appropriate cleaning equipment to uphold established cleanliness standards.
• Support sanitation and infection control by handling cleaning chemicals and disinfectants according to safety protocols.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture or supplies to help rooms turn over efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred, particularly in commercial or hospitality settings.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, including window cleaning, floor care, and sanitation procedures.
• Experience using cleaning equipment such as vacuums, pressure washers, and chemical dispensers.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform manual tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on infection control and sanitation standards.
• Excellent customer service skills to respond courteously to guest requests or inquiries.
• Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and the use of PPE for safety compliance.
