Slot Attendant/Supervisor
Job Description
River City Casino & Hotel is hiring a Slot Attendant/Supervisor for the Slots department in St. Louis, MO (onsite). This role supports guest service and daily slot operations on a 2:00pm - 10:30pm shift, with added supervisory responsibilities for supervisors.
Role Summary
In this position, you will provide cash handling service, complete jackpot verification and payment duties according to established procedures, promote the Players Club card program, and support customer service needs. If assigned as a supervisor, you will also oversee staff and manage the overall daily operations for a designated shift within the Slots department.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow all departmental and property policies and procedures related to guest service standards.
- Provide cash handling service to casino patrons.
- Pay and verify jackpots on slot machines using established procedures.
- Promote the Players Club card program, including understanding current card benefits and presenting program information to customers.
- Communicate customer service issues to key personnel.
- Maintain responsibility for assigned casino funds and ensure proper handling of funds exchanges.
- Complete customer booth transactions.
- Assist with training new personnel as needed.
- Monitor work areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met and customer requests are addressed and resolved.
- Assist patrons with general questions about the casino.
- For supervisors: supervise staff and oversee overall daily management of a designated shift in the Slots department.
- Support, promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in line with departmental and company standards and programs.
- Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
- Ensure efficiency of slot machines and related gaming equipment during the assigned shift.
- Provide authorizing and verifying signatures for jackpot payments when applicable, following established procedures.
- Handle customer concerns and requests, including making final decisions regarding service recovery on the assigned shift.
- Maintain and process paperwork, logs, schedules, and communication related to the Slots department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent and literate in English.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Basic math and cash handling skills, including counting money and making change.
- High energy and a proactive, strategic approach to handling issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels.
- Must be able to work any shift or hours as needed.
Shift, Location, and Pay
- Location: St. Louis, MO (onsite)
- Shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
- Pay: USD 9 - 35 per hour
- Starting salary: Up to $35.00 per hour
