Sportsbook Writer

Sportsbook Writer role at Live! Casino and Hotel Philadelphia, responsible for accurate sportsbook cash handling, ticket processing, and regulatory-compliant guest service.

• Accept bets and parlay cards; write tickets for all sporting events in a professional and courteous manner
• Receive tickets and vouchers from guests and pay out winning tickets and vouchers
• Maintain and balance a till used for issuing and redeeming tickets and vouchers
• Process transactions accurately and maintain precise till reconciliations
• Maintain a neat, well-stocked window for the next shift
• Follow Title 31 procedures and complete required logging
• Demonstrate full knowledge of sports wagering terms and conditions
• Maintain awareness of all lines and odds in the Sports Book
• Stay alert to unusual betting patterns and report events to the Sports Book Supervisor
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory controls of the state gaming agency
• Provide superior guest service throughout each transaction

Requirements

• Prior sports and sports betting knowledge is preferred
• Strong communication skills with the public
• Ability to work with financial information, data, and basic arithmetic functions
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid license required by the State Gaming Agency
• Thorough knowledge of the approved Responsible Gaming Program
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in high volume cash operations

• 24/7 operation with extended hours and the ability and willingness to meet the applicant’s schedules when needed
• Casino size over 100,000 square feet; ability and energy to move about with a sense of urgency
• Ability to stand for long periods without sitting or leaning
• Ability to go up and down 31 stairs multiple times per day and use elevators
