Banquet Captain

Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, MI is hiring a Banquet Captain to help ensure every banquet event runs smoothly from start to finish. This onsite role combines leadership on the floor with close coordination across banquet service, event planning, and culinary operations to support an excellent guest experience.

In this position, you will lead the banquet team, communicate with key partners involved in each event, and maintain high standards for execution and service. The pay for this role is $22.00 per hour, with an expected schedule of 20.0 to 25.0 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure banquet events are executed flawlessly and to the highest standards.
• Lead and coordinate banquet servers to ensure guests receive an outstanding experience.
• Work closely with event planners and the culinary team to make sure every detail is correct.

Qualifications

• 1 year of banquet attendant/server experience.
• Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service and catering operations.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
• Basic computer skills.
• Valid driver’s license, where applicable.
