Banquet/Catering Setup

This part-time, on-call banquet and catering setup role supports events across meeting spaces in Sioux City, IA. You will prepare rooms for scheduled functions and assist with the setup, cleanliness, and service readiness required for weddings, corporate gatherings, and similar occasions.

As a banquet/catering setup professional, you will organize and prepare event areas, including manual setup and break down. The work is completed to Marriott’s quality standards, with attention to facility condition, customer service, and a professional presence throughout each event.

Location and Employment Details

• Location: Sioux City, IA (onsite)
• Salary: USD 15 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meeting rooms for the appropriate function type and layout.
• Set up and tear down audio equipment, tables, stages, and chairs as required by the event.
• Arrange buffets and podiums when needed for scheduled programs.
• Set up portable bars, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness.
• Refresh meeting spaces to support ongoing facility readiness, including cleaning, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets where required.
• Provide customer service by listening to guests’ needs and fulfilling requests in a timely manner.
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while upholding high standards of customer service.

Availability Requirements

• Open availability, since events may be scheduled AM or PM, any day of the week.
• Weekend availability as needed.
• On-call role where candidates are scheduled as events require.
