The Edgewater Hotel in Madison, WI seeks a Banquets Supervisor to lead the banquet service team and ensure high-quality event experiences.

Ensure all food and beverage items are served correctly in line with Edgewater standards and banquet event orders (BEOs).
Review BEOs with meticulous attention to detail to guarantee flawless service.
Maintain constant communication with the Kitchen and Catering Managers during events to relay schedule changes, challenges, or guest feedback.
Build rapport with group contacts and sustain clear communication throughout the event.
Compile post-event checks from BEOs, verify charges, and ensure accurate postings.
Prepare timely Post Op summaries and distribute them to involved parties.
Ensure all equipment and supplies are returned to storage after events.
Assign duties to banquet staff and provide support to other Banquet Supervisors during events.
Conduct daily pre-shift huddles and briefings.
Prepare banquet spaces and setups before guest arrival.
Maintain a warm presence by smiling and making positive eye contact with guests.
Anticipate guest needs and act as a proud brand ambassador with professionalism.

Perform other related duties as assigned by Banquet Management.

Minimum two years of experience as Banquet Supervisor or Supervisor, preferably in a high-volume banquet or hotel setting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
Experience developing and training staff members.
Effective communication with guests, colleagues, and management.
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to resolve guest issues or complaints.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple duties efficiently.
Knowledge of food, ingredients, preparation, storage, sanitation, and basic bar terminology.
Ability to operate coffee machines, hot boxes, soda dispensers, beer taps, and related equipment.
Combined 2+ years of prior hotel and or food and beverage service experience is preferred.

USD 24.00 - 26.00 per hour
