Bartender

Bartender position at Red Lion Hotel in Port Angeles, WA, onsite, focused on crafting beverages and delivering exceptional service while maintaining smooth bar operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy, consistency, and flair, ensuring presentation meets brand standards.
• Deliver outstanding guest service to ensure satisfaction, anticipate needs, and resolve concerns with professionalism.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting bar area, including glassware, garnishes, and mise en place.
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock as needed, and assist with ordering supplies to sustain bar operations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage service for smooth timelines and accurate order delivery.
• Adhere to all food safety and alcohol service regulations, maintain proper dating and storage practices, and comply with licensing requirements.
• Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere at the bar, read cues, and offer personalized recommendations.
• Process cash transactions accurately and efficiently, handle POS procedures, and balance the till at shift end.

Requirements

• Proven experience bartending in fine dining or high-volume settings, demonstrating consistency during peak service times.
• Proficiency with Aloha POS or Micros POS systems, including order entry, ring up, and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities to prioritize orders and maintain service flow.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to read guest needs.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and related regulations, including proper handling and storage of beverages and garnishes.
• Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a cohesive service team.
