Job Description
Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa Riverside in Riverside, Missouri is seeking a Casino Host with a targeted focus on the Asian market, primarily the Chinese segment. This onsite role is dedicated to building and maintaining relationships with Asian players, promoting our gaming offerings, coordinating events and promotions, and managing comps to drive revenue, with travel to Penn properties in the Kansas City area and beyond as needed.
Summary
The successful candidate will develop and sustain relationships with Asian Market players, especially from the Chinese market, concentrate on revenue growth through marketing our gaming product, and attract higher-valued Asian clientele. They will provide exemplary customer service while expanding current Asian Market relationships and educating guests about the mychoice program benefits.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain valuable relationships with Asian Market players, primarily from the Chinese market, with a focus on driving revenue and attracting higher-value clientele.
- Deliver stellar customer service while cultivating existing Asian Market player relationships.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with new and first-time Asian Market guests.
- Learn and manage Asian Market guest tours of our facilities and educate guests on the mychoice program benefits.
- Assist in addressing guest issues, conflicts, or complaints in a fair and equitable manner.
- Attract and manage Asian customers through weekly telemarketing and on-floor interactions; arrange hospitality, including rooms, food, beverages, and special requests as appropriate.
- Administer and track comps with discretion to increase gaming and generate revenue.
- Be knowledgeable about credit procedures; encourage credit usage and assist in extending credit where permitted by law.
- Develop and assist in the operation of events and promotions, both gaming and non-gaming, for Asian Market players.
- Build loyalty by hosting meals and other events on-site or off-site to engage Asian Market guests.
- Promote a positive community presence and participate in company-sponsored events.
- Attend off-property events in the community, including golf events, trade shows, store openings, and dinner parties.
- Travel within the Kansas City metro area and to other Penn National Gaming properties at least once per quarter.
- Maintain visibility on the casino floor and in outlets to provide quality service.
- Analyze data to identify “high end” players and use Tableau and other casino programs to determine value for discretionary comps and hotel reservations based on gaming activity.
- Maintain relationships with valued guests via phone, email, direct mail, and in person; meet quarterly goals and milestones.
- Review and manage dormant accounts; compile data reports to administer host activities and determine which player segments to host to increase revenue.
- Protect the confidentiality of player information including name, address, contact details, level of play, wins/losses, and visit history.
- Address and manage complaints, grievances, or concerns.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year related experience and/or training in sales or casino operations, including table games and slots, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong cultural understanding of the Asian Market; prior customer service experience with the Asian Market is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, plus proficiency in Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, or Vietnamese.
- Ability to read, interpret, and compose documents; perform basic mathematical functions; and communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
- Ability to qualify for licenses or permits required by local, state, or federal law.
- Must successfully complete CARE or TiPS training.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods, use hands to manipulate objects, and reach with arms; reasonable accommodations available as needed.
- Work environment may involve exposure to moving parts, fumes, smoke, airborne particles, and vibration; reasonable accommodations provided.

Starting Salary
$40,000 annually
