Responsibilities

• Assist guests with administrative tasks on request, including printing, copying, faxing, scanning, directions, and airline boarding passes.
• Maintain a pristine, luxurious workstation and atmosphere.
• Address guest issues in a friendly, empowered, and timely manner.
• Coordinate with management and other departments to exceed guest expectations.
• Develop insightful guest profiles and promote special hotel programs.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of The Post Oak and its services.
• Exhibit in-depth knowledge of Houston and the surrounding areas.
• Deliver consistent, professional service to support the Forbes 5 Star Rating.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of concierge experience preferred; Les Clefs d’Or USA membership preferred.
• Hospitality or related field degree or certification preferred.
• Strong Windows-based computer skills, including word processing; Property Management Software experience preferred.
• Experience in luxury hotels or Forbes properties preferred.
• Flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and holidays, required.
• Physical ability to stand for an entire shift.
• Compensation: USD 16 per hour.

Overview

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Concierge to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Concierge will be responsible for performing all concierge duties for our guests such as local recommendations and booking of limos, restaurants, activities, shopping, etc. while providing outstanding, insightful and personalized service.
