Job Description

The Honor Bar Attendant ensures in-room honor bars and refreshment amenities are stocked, presented, and billed accurately to uphold luxury standards across the resort.

Responsibilities

  • Stock, replenish, and maintain all in-room honor bars according to established hotel standards.
  • Accurately record all honor bar consumption and submit charges promptly using the hotel's property management system.
  • Inspect guest room honor bars daily to ensure cleanliness, organization, presentation, and product quality.
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.
  • Monitor expiration dates and remove damaged, expired, or compromised products immediately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with weekly and monthly inventory reconciliation.
  • Restock honor bar storage areas and maintain organized inventory rooms.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Food & Beverage regarding inventory shortages and ordering needs.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged products, equipment issues, or billing concerns to leadership immediately.
  • Ensure all honor bar pricing and product offerings remain consistent with hotel standards.
  • Deliver guest-requested snacks, beverages, and amenities promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with VIP arrivals by preparing specialty amenities and customized refreshment presentations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of storage areas, carts, refrigerators, and equipment.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol handling procedures.
  • Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality while servicing occupied guestrooms.
  • Support Housekeeping and other operational departments during periods of high occupancy or business demands.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support resort operations.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to accurately record inventory, charges, and product movement.
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn property management and inventory systems.
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling of beverages and packaged food products.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
  • Ability to work independently while managing daily priorities.
  • Maintain discretion and professionalism while entering occupied guestrooms.
  • California Food Handler Card required or ability to obtain within required timeframes.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to safely operate carts and transport inventory throughout the resort.
  • Must be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules based on business needs.
