Hotel Night Auditor

In this Night Auditor role, you ensure overnight front desk operations run smoothly while keeping accurate daily financial records for the property.

Responsibilities

• Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions across departments, including room revenue, spa charges, food and beverage, and incidentals
• Generate and distribute the night audit report and close out the day in the property management system
• Assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and overnight requests
• Monitor building security, conduct periodic property walks, and respond to guest or safety concerns
• Prepare and organize reports for morning management and accounting review
• Process cash handling, run credit card batches, and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to emergencies and escalate per hotel protocol
• Maintain a calm, professional guest-facing presence overnight

Requirements

• Previous front desk, night audit, or hotel accounting experience preferred
• Comfortable working independently overnight with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and basic accounting/reconciliation skills
• Experience with a hotel PMS (Cloudbeds, Opera, RoomKeyPMS) a plus
• Excellent communication and guest service skills
• Ability to stay alert and composed during a quiet overnight shift
