Hotel Night Auditor
Job Description
Austin, TX onsite overnight role focused on end-of-day financial processing and support for guest service as needed.
Responsibilities
- Complete end-of-day processing of the property’s hotel financial records
- Enter invoices for payment
- Manage direct-bill invoicing and handle required invoice emailing
- Support basic clerical tasks that assist sales, revenue, and marketing efforts
- Perform guest service/front desk duties to support guest arrival, stay, and departure
- Deliver guest invoices
- Assist other departments when directed by a supervisor, which may include:
- Breakfast set up or clean-up
- Basic property cleanliness such as trash removal, snow and ice removal, lobby cleanliness, and public restroom cleanliness
- Support with laundry and housekeeping functions
- Other tasks requested by a supervisor or manager
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Previous hotel experience as Front Desk Agent or Night Auditor is preferred
- Hilton Brand experience is a plus, but not required (on-the-job training supports learning)
- Ability to perform all duties required for the position
- Excellent grooming and appearance standards
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Problem-solving skills are critical
- Ability to take direction and work independently
- Promptness and exceptional attendance are required
- Working knowledge of the Front Desk aspect of Sun’s services, policies, or operations, and general knowledge of the hotel
- Knowledge of and ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system
- Ability to clearly communicate with, understand, and respond to supervisors, coworkers, and guests
- Ability to visually review reports, enter information into a computer system, and monitor hotel operations
- Frequent bending and kneeling to access guest supplies, drawers and cabinets, office supplies, and other essential items
- Ability to assist guests, walk guests and clients to rooms and meeting locations, deliver supplies/requests to housekeeping and other departments, distribute invoices to guest rooms, and support other essential property needs
- May require climbing property stairs

- Weekends and holidays may be required
- Typically overnight, but may be asked to cover other shifts when needed

Physical Requirements
- Lifting/Carrying: Lifting of front office, kitchen and other basic hotel supplies; assisting with guest luggage; carrying linens and laundry, kitchen supplies, and other essential property supplies
- Bending/Kneeling/Reaching: Frequent bending and kneeling to access supplies, drawers and cabinets, office supplies, and other essential property supplies
- Mobility: Assist guests, walk guests/clients to rooms and meeting locations, deliver supplies/requests, distribute invoices to guest rooms, and assist with other essential property needs
- Standing: Normal amount of standing may be required

- Hearing/Vision/Speech: Must be able to clearly communicate with, understand, and respond to supervisors, coworkers and guests; ability to visually review reports and monitor operations
