Housekeeper

Pyramid Hotel Group is hiring a part-time Housekeeper for onsite work at Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, CA. This role supports the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms and assigned areas while following safety practices and the Green Program’s linen and towel standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to help ensure their stay is going well.
• Work with the team to achieve resort and hotel cleanliness goals.
• Maintain the work cart in an orderly condition and keep it properly stocked.
• Use equipment, supplies, and guest amenities appropriately.
• Complete thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas.
• Change and inspect linens and towels daily while following Green Program standards.
• Follow safety standards and remain alert to hazards such as broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons, reporting items as found.
• Respect guests’ property at all times.
• Practice responsible care of equipment.
• Report to work on time according to the posted schedule to support accurate time records and proper room issuance standards.
• Stay alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and coworkers.
• Perform additional related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor.

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience is desirable.
• Neat, pleasant personality.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
• Ability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions and detect odors; position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces.
• Ability to operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
• Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.

Compensation

This part-time position offers $21.78 per hour (USD 21 - 21 per hourly listed).
