Job Description

Situated onsite at the Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel, Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks a meticulous Housekeeping Inspector to uphold the property’s Marriott brand standards. In this role, you will inspect guest rooms and public areas, coach housekeeping colleagues, and ensure cleanliness and presentation meet guest expectations while supporting a safe, efficient operating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of guest rooms across vacancy, occupancy, and post-checkout configurations to verify cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with Marriott brand standards.
  • Verify that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the property's quality and cleanliness benchmarks.
  • Identify maintenance issues promptly and communicate them to the Engineering team, following through as required.
  • Respond to special guest requests and assist with amenities such as extra towels, pillows, blankets, and other items.
  • Offer coaching, guidance, and support to Room Attendants and House Attendants to foster continuous improvement and uphold high performance standards.
  • Support teammates by ensuring they have the necessary supplies, equipment, and resources to perform efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the housekeeping leadership team to ensure rooms are guest-ready and that operational goals are met.
  • Support room cleaning and other housekeeping tasks during peak demand or staffing fluctuations.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative work environment while delivering exceptional guest service.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six months' experience conducting housekeeping inspections in a hotel of comparable size and quality.
  • Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, quality standards, safety practices, and security policies.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify cleanliness and maintenance issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and lead team members.
  • Ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the hotel while performing room inspections.
