Responsibilities

• Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and washing requirements to prevent damage and ensure proper cleaning.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently following manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect laundered items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to management for action.
• Fold and organize clean laundry for distribution to appropriate departments or storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including routine cleaning of machines and workspaces.
• Track laundry inventory and notify supervisors when supplies such as detergents or fabric softeners need replenishment.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks as needed, including potential support as Room Attendant or House Person.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely.
• Basic understanding of fabric care and laundry procedures.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

About the Role
