Line Cook
Job Description
The Grove Hotel in Boise is seeking a Line Cook to prepare and cook menu items to the restaurant’s standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This onsite role focuses on consistent food production, clean station setup, and effective coordination with the kitchen team, while following required food safety and attendance policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all menu items according to established recipes and specifications.
- Set up and stock kitchen stations with the required tools, ingredients, and supplies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment throughout each shift.
- Coordinate with other kitchen team members to support smooth and efficient ticket execution.
- Monitor ingredient levels during service and replenish as needed.
- Assist with inventory tracking, labeling, and stock rotation.
- Provide input for daily specials or seasonal menu items.
- Maintain a professional, positive attitude, particularly during high-volume service.
- Follow all company standards related to food safety, uniform, and attendance.
- Complete other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a fast-paced kitchen is required.
- Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and knife handling.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work early mornings and weekends.
- Ability to multitask and remain detail-focused in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations required.
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus, but not required.
- AM and PM shifts available.
Compensation
$20 to $22 per hour
