Maintenance Technician

A Maintenance Technician position at Princess Bayside Beach Hotel in Ocean City, MD, responsible for routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and operational upkeep across guest rooms, facilities, and outdoor areas to ensure a safe, fully functional resort environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair in-room PTAC heating and cooling units, compact kitchenettes, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and electronics to maintain guest room comfort.
• Conduct ongoing checks of the heated indoor pool, outdoor rooftop pool, and public lounge areas to ensure mechanical systems operate properly.
• Execute preventative maintenance including room inspections, HVAC filter changes, and routine property walkthroughs to reduce the risk of major breakdowns.
• Maintain grounds and exterior spaces such as the private bay beach, decks, and waterfront structures, ensuring safety and hazard-free conditions.
• Carry out basic carpentry, drywall repairs, interior and exterior painting, and appliance maintenance to support property upkeep.
• Document all completed tasks in the digital work order system and adhere to OSHA guidelines, including lockout/tagout procedures.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in commercial property maintenance, preferably in a hotel, resort, or property management setting.
• Practical skills in basic plumbing, electrical wiring, drywall, and commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and stand for extended periods.
• Available to work weekends and holidays, with rotating morning and evening shifts during peak summer seasons.
• Minimum age 18, valid driver's license, and successful completion of standard background checks.
