Job Description

This role supports overnight operations at a franchise hotel in Secaucus, New Jersey by combining front desk coverage, guest service, and essential back-office tasks. The position includes shift scheduling from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with onsite work in Secaucus.

Role Overview

As a Night Auditor/Guest Service Agent, you will provide guest services, manage reservations, post charges through the hotel computer system, and complete night data entry for hotel accounting. The role also includes clerical support such as cleaning lobby and office areas, while maintaining a professional, guest-focused presence throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver guest services, including sharing information on nearby restaurants, sights, transportation options, and directions.
  • Address potential needs and resolve concerns or complaints in a courteous and sincere manner.
  • Create and modify reservations as needed.
  • Post charges using the computer system.
  • Complete night data entry and minor accounting-related tasks during overnight hours.
  • Clean lobby and office areas and perform other clerical duties.

Required Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Windows operating system.
  • Ability to learn the hotel’s reservation computer system.
  • Well spoken English, with the ability to converse face to face with guests.
  • Capability to calmly and politely resolve guest needs or complaints.
  • Ability to use a calculator.
  • Well groomed and presentable, with clothing that follows hotel guidelines.
  • Respect toward coworkers, guests, and management.
  • Punctuality and the ability to arrive on time for assigned shifts.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Preferred Education

High school or equivalent (Preferred).

  • Windows operating system
  • Hotel Key property management system

Pay

$18.00 per hour (USD 18 - 18 per hourly).
