Overnight Houseperson / Valet Attendant

IRIS HOTEL BOSTON is looking for an Overnight Houseperson / Valet Attendant to help keep the property welcoming, safe, and spotless during overnight hours. This on-site role runs from 11pm to 7am, combining detailed overnight cleaning with valet services, including careful parking and retrieval of guest vehicles.

What you’ll do

• Complete thorough hotel cleaning and floor care from 11pm-7am, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing to maintain a spotless environment.
• Perform precise janitorial and custodial work in guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and restrooms, with efficiency and attention to detail.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment and use cleaning supplies to support performance and meet safety standards during nightly routines.
• Provide courteous valet service by parking and retrieving guest vehicles with care and professionalism during overnight shifts.
• Check common areas for cleanliness and safety, addressing issues immediately to support guest satisfaction.
• Work with team members to ensure cleaning protocols align with health standards and hotel policies.

What you bring

• Proven experience in cleaning, floor care, or custodial work in a hospitality or hotel setting.
• Drivers License required, with the ability to get in and out of guest vehicles and drive safely and courteously.
• Strong knowledge of janitorial procedures, industrial cleaning techniques, and safety protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
• Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Prior hotel experience or hospitality background helps with understanding guest service expectations.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist guests politely.
• Demonstrated ability to complete housekeeping tasks efficiently during overnight hours while maintaining quality standards.

Compensation and schedule

• Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
