Room Attendant

Monterey Beach Hotel offers an onsite Room Attendant role in Monterey, CA with an hourly wage of $21. You will help create a welcoming guest experience by keeping guestrooms clean, organized, and well stocked, while delivering courteous, efficient service to every guest.

Overview

The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive guestrooms while providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests.

Responsibilities

• Clean guestrooms thoroughly according to established standards.
• Complete pre-cleaning duties, including stocking guest supplies, cleaning products, and linens for housekeeping cart setup.
• Remove all trash and dirty linens from guestrooms and hallways.
• Keep hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
• Restock the housekeeping cart for the next day’s use.
• Replenish chemical bottles.
• Report missing items from rooms (for example irons/boards, hair dryers) to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
• Report any maintenance repairs immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
• Handle Lost and Found items according to hotel standards.
• Contribute to overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; hotel or related field experience is preferred.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push or pull objects.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift.
• Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of staff and guests in a courteous, service oriented manner.
