Job Description
The Global Ambassador Hotel is hiring a Server for théa Mediterranean Rooftop Restaurant in Phoenix, AZ (onsite). Compensation: USD 12 to 12 per hour. Experience required: 2 years.

Responsibilities
- Know and follow all TGA policies and procedures
- Welcome and greet guests, making sure they feel comfortable and personally cared for
- Know regular guests by name, preferences, and needs
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes, and offer recommendations guests are likely to enjoy
- Answer questions about food, beverages, and other restaurant services
- Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system to relay orders to the kitchen and bar
- Know and follow laws for serving alcohol
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guests in a timely manner
- Complete side work at the start and end of each shift as assigned
- Own your station and maintain clean service areas, ensuring a dining space you would want to use
- Keep stations neat and clean, including checking table-tops, polishing silverware, setting water and wineglasses, wiping bases, checking floors and windowsills, and verifying salt and pepper, candles, and flowers
- Monitor the guest dining experience and ensure satisfaction with food and service
- Respond promptly and courteously to requests
- Prepare final bills, present checks, accept payment, and process credit card charges or make change (if applicable)
- Assist fellow servers and help back servers with clearing and resetting tables as needed
- Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return
- Participate in proactive communication to help avoid and solve operational, HR, and financial issues
- Be available to fill in as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor to support smooth operations
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years in like volume restaurant serving experience with basic knowledge of dining room service procedures
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Great personality, desire to serve guests, and enjoyment working as part of a team
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver trays of food frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per TGA standards
- Follow safety procedures closely
- Ability to work holidays and/or weekends
