Bellman

At The Crescent Hotel Fort Worth in Fort Worth, TX, this onsite role supports guests from the moment they arrive through departure. As a Bellman, you will provide attentive, courteous, and efficient assistance, including luggage handling and thoughtful delivery of items, messages, and information around the property.

You will also help guests settle in during their stay by escorting them to rooms, ensuring accommodations are ready, and sharing practical details about the hotel and local area resources. Your focus on service and clear communication supports a smooth guest experience throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage carts.
• Organize and deliver luggage for tour groups.
• Escort guests to rooms and familiarize them with hotel services.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure they are in order and that supplies are adequate.
• Explain room features, including operation of electronic devices and entertainment.
• Check and store luggage for arrivals and departures using luggage tags.
• Store, track, and deliver packages as needed.
• Deliver messages to meeting rooms.
• Deliver flowers, laundry, packages, and other amenities to guestrooms.
• Assist with room changes.
• Maintain an up-to-date listing of local and area attractions, special events, and activities.
• Maintain a list of local transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, and similar resources.
• Assist Houseperson with guest requests.
• Ensure the lobby reader board is correct.
• Provide information, maps, and directions as required.
• Where applicable, answer console to assist front desk agents.
• Show guestrooms and suites as needed and emphasize the hotel’s amenities.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state (if applicable).
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Ability to stand during the entire shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
