Job Description

River City Casino & Hotel is seeking a Cage Shift Manager to supervise the Cage/Credit department during a designated shift on-site in St. Louis, MO. In this role, you will help keep operations running smoothly in the Cage Manager’s absence, focusing on service standards, compliance, and daily financial accountability.

The Cage Shift Manager oversees staff and ensures departmental goals are supported while handling key verification and reporting duties required for shift-to-shift continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff and manage the daily operations of the Cage/Credit department on your assigned shift.
  • Support and administer operational goals, monitoring performance and progress toward performance and profit objectives.
  • Follow scheduling procedures and coordinate with the Cage Manager regarding concerns, with guest satisfaction in mind.
  • Assist with the departmental budget process by providing recommendations; support adherence to budget initiatives and report budget concerns to management.
  • Promote and model superior customer service in line with departmental and company standards and programs.
  • Ensure customer service standards are followed and address issues as they arise.
  • Assist with guest inquiries while monitoring and applying service recovery within authorized levels.
  • Review and approve Cage documentation according to established levels of authorization when the Cage Manager is not on duty.
  • Prepare and/or review currency transaction reports during the assigned shift in the Cage Manager’s absence.
  • Verify vault accountability at the end of each assigned shift.
  • Verify Credit line availability during the assigned shift in the Cage Manager’s absence.
  • Verify main bank and window cashier drawers.
  • Authorize checks and prepare customer deposit and safekeeping logs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance within the scope of authority and report potential issues to management.
  • Ensure staff training completion and adherence to CTR and SARC procedures, including completion and reporting of required paperwork.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all departmental and company matters.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred, or two to four years of related customer service experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to interact with guests and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of office machines and tools, including jet sort, coin roller, 10-key by touch, and Credit card cash advance systems.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.

Salary: USD 55,000 per year
Experience: Minimum 2 years
