Executive Housekeeper (Director of Housekeeping)

Hotel Saranac in Saranac Lake invites an experienced Executive Housekeeper to steer daily housekeeping operations within a Curio Collection by Hilton property. This onsite leadership role oversees housekeeping, laundry, and public spaces to uphold brand standards, optimize labor, manage inventory, and coordinate across departments to deliver a consistently polished guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop housekeeping, laundry, and public spaces teams, promoting accountability, pride, mutual respect, and high morale.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs of guest rooms and public areas to ensure immaculate cleanliness and compliance with Curio Collection by Hilton standards, balancing pace and perfection to meet turnaround targets without compromising luxury presentation.
• Manage labor and budget discipline by creating optimized schedules based on occupancy trends and overseeing inventory of supplies, linens, and cleaning agents within budget guidelines.
• Coordinate across departments with Front Office on room availability and priority turnarounds, and partner with Engineering for timely maintenance resolution.
• Enforce rigorous safety, sanitation, and chemical handling protocols to maintain a safe, secure environment for guests and staff.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive housekeeping management leadership, ideally in upscale, full-service, or boutique lifestyle hotels.
• Proven ability to coach, motivate, and retain a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a thorough understanding of housekeeping policies, scheduling, and labor productivity metrics.
• Strong organizational skills, hands-on leadership, and the stamina to guide operations during peak periods and shifting priorities.
• Flexible schedule availability to meet hotel demand, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
