Host/Server Assistant

The Restoration Hotel in Asheville, NC is hiring a Host/Server Assistant to support all three F&B outlets onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests as they arrive, seat them when possible, and manage a waiting list as needed.
• Hand out menus and handle initial guest questions.
• Seat guests in dining areas and/or waiting areas.
• Assign guests to preferred tables while supporting table rotation so servers receive the right customer flow.
• Check in with guests to ensure food and service are meeting expectations.
• Address guest concerns and assist with complaint resolution.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to questions.
• Assist with other restaurant roles when business needs require coverage.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout each guest interaction.

Requirements

• Ability to deliver top-notch customer service in a fast-paced setting.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff.
• Consistently produces high-quality work without direct supervision.
• Can work while standing for long periods of time.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask clarifying questions when needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy restaurant environment.
• Restaurant experience is a plus.
