Job Description

At Hotel LeVeque, Autograph Collection in Columbus, OH, the Housekeeping Inspector plays a key role in keeping the housekeeping department organized, productive, and focused on guest satisfaction. You will help lead day-to-day operations, inspect rooms and public spaces against brand standards, and support training efforts that strengthen cleanliness and safety across the team.

This onsite position supports both performance and people development, including mentoring Housekeepers and Housemen, helping onboard new colleagues, and assisting with issue resolution as it comes up. Alongside inspections and coaching, you may also step in to clean guest rooms when needed, ensuring service stays consistent.

What you’ll do

  • Provide direction and support to Housekeepers and Housemen to keep the housekeeping department running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations to maintain service and cleanliness standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public spaces to confirm cleanliness, adherence to brand standards, and strong guest satisfaction.
  • Seek creative ways to support development and implementation of innovative promotional and sales events that improve service.
  • Help maintain a clean and safe working environment, with ongoing emphasis on employee health and safety.
  • Assist with training colleagues in proper safety techniques.
  • Support department orientation and training for new housekeepers, and follow up to ensure company and brand standards are met.
  • Use effective leadership techniques to motivate team members toward a common goal of guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in resolving issues as they arise to promote stability within the department.
  • Clean guest rooms when necessary.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by management.

What you bring

  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and pivot frequently.
  • Ability to lift, lower, and maneuver up to 60 pounds; able to push/pull up to 150 pounds.
  • Experience as a hotel housekeeper or house person is preferred.

Compensation

  • USD 18 per hour
