Housekeeping Supervisor

Days Inn Hotel & Suites in Port Huron, MI is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor onsite to lead the housekeeping and laundry team and help keep the property consistently clean and guest-ready. This role combines day-to-day supervision with hands-on support, ensuring guest rooms and hotel areas are cleaned thoroughly and in line with hotel standards.

Working part-time or full-time, you will coordinate cleaning activities, inspect completed rooms, and collaborate with other departments to support smooth operations for arriving guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeepers and laundry attendants.
• Assign rooms and daily duties to housekeeping staff, ensuring all work is completed on time.
• Inspect guest rooms after cleaning to confirm they meet hotel cleanliness and quality standards.
• Maintain housekeeping readiness by ensuring carts, linen rooms, laundry areas, and work areas are stocked, organized, and well maintained.
• Identify maintenance issues in guest rooms or hotel areas, report them, and follow up as needed.
• Report room damage caused by a guest to management.
• Monitor inventory levels for housekeeping supplies, including linens, towels, soap, shampoo, cleaning products, and other essentials.
• Train and assist housekeeping employees to support correct cleaning procedures and adherence to hotel standards.
• Monitor employee attendance, performance, and productivity.
• Coordinate with the front desk to ensure clean rooms are available for arriving guests.
• Arrive in proper uniform with a name tag and be prepared to provide excellent customer service during assigned duties.
• Communicate professionally with guests, housekeeping staff, front desk associates, maintenance, and management.
• Report any suspicious behavior or safety concerns observed to management.
• Assist with cleaning guest rooms and laundry when needed.
• Complete additional tasks assigned by management.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, organizational, and housekeeping skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service while performing assigned duties.
• Laundry experience: 1 year (Preferred).

Pay and Schedule

• Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
