Job Description

Hotel Equities is hiring a Night Auditor for the Marriott in Fort Collins, Colorado (onsite). This overnight role (11 PM–7 AM) blends guest-facing service with behind-the-scenes front desk operations, giving you a meaningful first point of contact for arriving and departing guests. What you will do

  • Check guests in, issue room keys, and share helpful information on hotel services and room locations.
  • Collect required identification during check-in in accordance with local legislative requirements.
  • Answer phones promptly and courteously.
  • Handle guest calls and messages by answering, recording, and processing requests, questions, and concerns.
  • Record guest preferences in the system and ensure they are available for the next touchpoint.
  • Check guests out, including resolving any late or disputed charges.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions accurately using established procedures.
  • Issue, control, and release guest safe-deposit boxes according to hotel procedures.
  • Communicate outstanding guest requests or issues to management for monitoring or follow-up when needed.
  • Address guest problems and complaints using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
  • Follow hotel safety protocols at all times, and immediately report health and safety incidents, security breaches, concerns, or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty.
  • May book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups via phone or within the hotel, including processing cancellations, revisions, and information updates.
  • Support cross-department communication to maintain excellent service quality as outlined by hotel procedures.
  • Complete other assigned tasks, which may include guest room tours, concierge services, and special guest requests.

What you bring

  • Previous Night Auditor experience required.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards is a plus.
  • Ability to frequently stand up behind the desk and front office areas.
  • Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms.
  • Ability to handle objects, products, and computer equipment.
  • Basic computer skills to operate property management and reservations systems.
  • Passion for people and service.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and employees.
  • Reading and writing skills used often for paperwork and logging issues, complaints, requests, and information updates.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Problem-solving and reasoning skills, including motivating and training abilities used on the job.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Schedule

Overnight shift: 11 PM to 7 AM.

Job purpose

Pay: USD 17–18 per hour.
