Job Description

The Night Auditor supports overnight hotel operations by completing audit and balancing tasks that help maintain financial controls and compliance with hotel standards. This role also coordinates with internal departments, including Security and Housekeeping, to support consistent guest service throughout the night.

Role Location

Onsite in Alpharetta, GA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit Point of Service tapes and journals to prepare daily Restaurant Revenue Report data, including revenue breakdowns, covers, waiters’ fees, tips paid out, and settlements by type and cashier.
  • Run and review audit reports and journals from the front office system, Point of Service, and the computer.
  • Complete necessary corrections and adjustments, and address computer issues that may occur during the shift.
  • Enter revenue, expenses, and allowances into the front office system to generate daily reports, including the Guest Ledger Summary and the Daily Restaurant Summary.
  • Balance revenue and settlement accounts nightly, maintain required files, and reset the system for next-day operations.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available for regular scheduled shifts.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to make accurate calculations using a 10-key.
  • Ability to address guest and associate concerns in a friendly, positive manner.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adjust communication style for different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
