Job Description

The part time Overnight Guest Services Agent role supports guest arrival and departure during overnight hours at the property in Ogunquit, ME. Duties include reservations, check-in and check-out, guest support, and providing information about the hotel and the surrounding area.

Role Overview

As an Overnight Guest Services Agent, you will handle online, phone, and in-person room reservations, greet arriving guests, and ensure smooth check-in and check-out. You will also assist guests with questions, payments, and day-to-day needs by sharing hotel amenities and local recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage room reservations through online, phone, and in-person channels, including during peak periods.
  • Communicate relevant shift information to the next shift and the direct supervisor.
  • Welcome guests, check them in and out, provide room keys, and explain hotel amenities.
  • Accept payments and address any payment discrepancies.
  • Respond to guest issues and complaints in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Explain local amenities and attractions to guests.
  • Coordinate with other staff to maintain hotel standards and support special guest requests.
  • Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.
  • Complete duties according to training procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist other departments when needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 or more full years in a related position.
  • Location: Ability to work onsite at the hotel location.
  • Schedule: Part time, 16 to 24 hours per week for Overnight.
  • Language: Proficiency in English.
  • Technology: Willingness to learn new technology platforms.
  • Physical demands: Ability to stand at the front desk for long periods of time; ability to lift or push up to 50 lbs of guest luggage (limited).
  • Work style: Ability to work independently.
  • Professional conduct: Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous customer-facing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
  • Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French.

Pay: USD 22 per hour.
