Job Description

Hotel Clark offers an onsite public-area role in Los Angeles, CA where you support a clean, welcoming guest experience every day. This position focuses on keeping hotel public spaces and restrooms in top condition through consistent cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking, while providing courteous assistance to guests, team members, vendors, and visitors.

What you’ll do

  • Clean and maintain assigned hotel public areas using established standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and guest service.
  • Service and sanitize lobby areas and common spaces, including seating areas, corridors, elevators, entryways, doors, and front-of-house and back-of-house areas.
  • Clean and restock public restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, counters, floors, dispensers, and trash containers.
  • Keep pool areas and other assigned spaces in order by vacuuming carpets and rugs, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, removing debris, and spot-cleaning as needed.
  • Follow daily public area task lists, assigned checklists, cleaning schedules, and shift priorities to complete work timely and thoroughly.
  • Empty trash containers and replace liners across public spaces, restrooms, offices, back-of-house areas, and assigned service locations.
  • Restock restroom and service supplies, including paper products, soap, sanitizer, towels, pool towels, and other assigned items.
  • Report maintenance issues, spills, hazards, damaged fixtures, leaks, equipment concerns, and areas that require attention.
  • Greet guests, team members, vendors, and visitors warmly, and provide assistance related to cleanliness, supplies, spills, restrooms, directions, or assigned areas.
  • Maintain guest privacy, employee work areas, office spaces, and hotel security procedures.
  • Comply with safety, sanitation, hygiene, chemical handling, restroom cleaning, pool area, and public space procedures, following hotel and housekeeping guidelines.
  • Use assigned safety equipment and follow hotel response procedures when working in restrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, offices, or other designated spaces.
  • Complete required training related to job duties, safety, compliance, service, and company policies.
  • Accurately complete housekeeping records as required, including tracking of cleaned areas, restroom service, supplies used, incidents, maintenance concerns, and related documentation.

What you bring

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift while moving throughout assigned hotel areas for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of housekeeping supplies, trash, linen, amenities, and cleaning products up to 25–50 lbs.
  • Continuous physical activity across public areas, restrooms, pool areas, front-of-house areas, back-of-house areas, offices, and nearby service spaces.
  • Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts, cleaning equipment, trash bins, linen carts, and related supplies.
  • Comfort working in guest-facing and back-of-house environments with exposure to approved cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
  • Time management skills to complete cleaning tasks, checklists, and shift priorities efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with the ability to follow schedules, safety procedures, workload procedures, and reporting practices.
  • Basic communication skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as scheduled; overtime handled according to hotel policy and applicable law.
  • Willingness to complete required housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and guest service training.
  • Previous hotel housekeeping, public area, janitorial, custodial, resort, hospitality, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

The posted pay range reflects the actual compensation for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
