Slot Attendant

Rain Rock Casino Resort Hotel is seeking a Slot Attendant to provide dependable, attentive guest service while supporting slot operations on-site in Yreka, CA. In this role, you will help ensure the gaming floor stays guest-ready through accurate cash handling, timely machine support, and clear communication with players.

You will work as part of a team responsible for maintaining assigned areas, supporting transactions, and following all applicable gaming and compliance requirements. The position is suited to candidates who can remain accurate under pressure and deliver courteous, professional interactions throughout each shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and keep the guest area stocked with flyers.
• Monitor the assigned slot area to support accessibility for guests.
• Verify slot paper fills and verify and/or perform hand pays.
• Demonstrate accuracy and proficiency when performing money transactions and completing required paperwork.
• Handle receipts from sales, reconcile receipts, and balance cash drawers; assist with shift-by-shift sales of additional products.
• Track and manage large amounts of cash while paying winnings and taking in sales in different drawers.
• Comply with all casino regulations related to alcohol sales.
• Respond to machines and assess conditions that indicate service is needed.
• Perform minor machine maintenance.
• Complete on-line accounting functions and associated paperwork.
• Follow all casino policy and procedures, including MICs, Gaming Rules and Regulations, and Title 31 requirements.
• Provide information on Players Club benefits, property amenities, and marketing programs to guests.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Maintain a polite approach and prioritize acceptance of other assigned position-related duties.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a Food Handlers Permit.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a basic math test.
• Ability to perform transactions on a remote validation system.
• Computer skills helpful.
• Some cash handling experience.
• Working knowledge of Title 31 requirements and ability to pass all required Title 31 examinations.
• Must have an IRS license for multi-game tickets (Casino Expenses).
• Reasonable ability to communicate in English.
• Subject to pre-employment drug testing and a criminal history background check, which may include fingerprinting.
• Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must receive and maintain a valid high security gaming license from the Tribal Gaming Commission.
• Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process.
• Must adhere to confidentiality policy.
• Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
• Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
• Must stand and walk for the entire shift (excluding lunch and breaks).
• Must be able to move 50 pounds or more.
• Manual effort required, including walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, carrying, stooping, bending, twisting, and standing 100% of the time.
• Must be able to work in a high stress environment and in a fast-paced setting where teamwork is essential.
