SUPERVISOR - ROOM HOUSEK

As a Room Housekeeping Supervisor with Pyramid Hotel Group, you will oversee room and public space cleanliness at Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown in San Antonio, TX (onsite). This role supports a smooth daily operation by coordinating workflows, inspecting spaces to high standards, and leading the housekeeping team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Working in a hotel environment, you will balance hands-on quality checks with team coordination, ensuring supplies, safety practices, and maintenance needs are addressed promptly. The position also includes support for inventory, performance evaluation tasks, and coverage planning when staffing counts change.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to help ensure their stay is going well
• Collaborate with the team to maintain resort and hotel cleanliness goals
• Coordinate the day’s workflow and distribution of duties
• Inspect guest rooms using the highest quality standards
• Hold department employees accountable for maintaining high cleanliness standards
• Supervise and train housekeeping staff to support consistent cleanliness
• Assist with performing inventory of linen and supplies
• Assist with completion of performance evaluations
• Use judgment and experience to distribute work, assign rooms, and set staff duties
• Coordinate activities with the Front Desk Supervisor and front desk staff
• Report maintenance needs as they arise
• Ensure employees use and handle cleaning chemicals safely
• Find coverage for callouts and when housekeeping counts increase
• Perform other related duties as requested by Management

Requirements

• 6 months experience in a similar Housekeeping position is desirable
• Engaging and caring personality
• Time management skills
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
• Ability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions; detect odors; position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces
• Ability to operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters
• Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs
