Bellman/Valet

The Tennessean Hotel in Knoxville invites a Bellman/Valet to be the welcoming face of the property, handling arrivals with a helpful touch, assisting with luggage, and guiding guests to amenities and local attractions. Onsite in a bustling lobby, this role ensures smooth valet operations, coordinates transportation, and supports room deliveries and communications with guests throughout their stay. The position blends attentive service with practical tasks to maintain a polished guest experience from the moment of arrival.

Compensation

Salary: USD 9.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide arriving guests to their rooms, assist with hand luggage, and provide information about hotel services, facilities, nearby points of interest, and entertainment options.
• Inspect guest rooms to confirm furnishings are orderly and supplies are adequate.
• Explain room features such as how to operate radios, televisions, night locks, and dialing telephones.
• Page guests in the lobby, dining rooms, or other areas of the hotel as needed.
• Deliver messages and run errands for guests and staff.
• Handle room service deliveries to guest rooms.
• Retrieve items for laundry and valet services.
• Arrange taxi transportation for guests.
• Transport guests around the premises or to nearby areas using a car or motorized cart.
• Maintain a log of service calls and guest requests.
• Deliver packages, suitcases, and trunks; set up sample rooms as required.
• Maintain lobby cleanliness, including ashtrays, mopping, and trash removal.
• Vacuum and clean the interior of vans at least once per day.
• Assist with collecting room service trays from hallways across the property.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Basic literacy to read product labels and communicate with guests about job-related needs.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
