Job Description

The Concierge role at Hotel Drover sits onsite in the Fort Worth Stockyards, delivering personalized guest experiences through thoughtful recommendations and coordinated services. Based in Fort Worth, TX, this position emphasizes staying current on local attractions and collaborating with hotel departments to fulfill guest requests, all while reflecting the hotel’s luxury hospitality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services, including transportation, dining, spa appointments, floral deliveries, and local experiences.
  • Offer knowledgeable recommendations about property amenities, local attractions, restaurants, and upcoming Stockyards events to enhance guest stays.
  • Build rapport and maintain professional relationships with guests, providing tailored assistance to anticipate and exceed their needs.
  • Contact appropriate departments (Bellperson, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage) to resolve guest requests or concerns promptly.
  • Record and track all guest requests, messages, and follow-ups in designated systems to ensure service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate VIP amenities, special occasion setups, and in-room surprises in collaboration with the Front Office and Housekeeping teams.
  • Review shift logs and memos daily to stay informed of property events, guest arrivals, and special notes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Fort Worth and the surrounding DFW area, including entertainment venues, dining establishments, retail, and transportation services.
  • Monitor lobby and public areas for guest service opportunities, ensuring a welcoming and engaging environment.
  • Uphold confidentiality of guest information and maintain security of hotel property and assets.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage authentically with diverse guests.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Fort Worth Stockyards, DFW area, and surrounding attractions.
  • Flexible schedule — must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional demeanor and polished appearance consistent with luxury hospitality standards.

Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Comfortable working in a guest-facing environment that may include moderate noise levels and variable temperatures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a luxury or full-service hotel, resort, or guest services environment.
  • Familiarity with Marriott or Autograph Collection brand standards and property management systems (e.g., Opera, GXP).
  • Background in local partnerships or vendor relationships within hospitality, tourism, or event coordination.
