Dishwasher & Kitchen Cleaner

The Dishwasher & Kitchen Cleaner role supports daily kitchen operations at Deloitte University Hotel & Conference Center in Westlake, TX. This is a full-time position on the 2nd shift focused on maintaining cleanliness for dishes, glassware, kitchen equipment, and proper removal of kitchen waste.

Role Overview

As a kitchen steward, you will help keep the kitchen organized and sanitary by washing and handling dishes and glassware, performing routine cleaning duties, and ensuring trash is removed from the kitchen area to the property dumpster.

Key Responsibilities

• Load the dishwasher with soiled items, including plates, silverware, and glasses.
• Follow correct scraping, sorting, and stacking procedures to help minimize breakage.
• Stack and store dishes in their assigned areas.
• Clean kitchen walls as needed.
• Inspect and refill paper towels and hand soap at all wash basins in the kitchen and in associate restrooms.
• Sweep and mop the kitchen during meal periods as needed or as directed by a supervisor.
• Empty kitchen trash and transport it to the property dumpster.

Compensation

• Hourly rate: USD 18 - 18 per hour

Requirements

• No experience required; training will be provided.
• Basic Food Safety Certification required within 30 days of starting, with re-certification as needed.
