Facilities Supervisor (Engineering and Housekeeping
Job Description
This full-time, on-site role oversees shift-level leadership across Engineering and Housekeeping at Fairlane Hotel in Nashville, TN, with a pay rate of USD 23 to 26 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on maintenance and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall.
- Manage engineering work orders, prioritizing tasks and assignments via the Optii platform.
- Serve as the on-shift first responder for engineering incidents and emergencies.
- Plan, execute, and document preventive maintenance; escalate emerging issues to the Chief Engineer.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment logs, and inspection documentation.
- Act as the Engineering point of contact on shift when the Chief Engineer is unavailable.
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and presentation meet hotel standards.
- Assign and track daily workloads for Room Attendants, Housepersons, and related staff.
- Support scheduling, training, and coaching of the Housekeeping team members.
- Monitor linen, amenity, and supply inventories; communicate needs to the Executive Housekeeper.
- Complete daily housekeeping reports, inspection logs, and lost-and-found documentation.
- Act as Housekeeping point of contact on shift in the Executive Housekeeper's absence.
- Coordinate with Front Office, Food and Beverage, and other departments to maintain smooth property operations.
- Communicate clearly across departments and provide thorough shift handover notes.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and respectful work environment.
Requirements
- Prior supervisory or lead experience in a hotel, hospitality, or facilities environment.
- Working knowledge of building maintenance and repair across multiple trades.
- Familiarity with housekeeping operations and room inspection standards.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills; comfortable with documentation and recordkeeping.
- Strong communication abilities and the capacity to manage shifting priorities across departments.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical work throughout each shift.

Schedule
