Front Desk Agent
Job Description
The Front Office team member delivers welcoming, efficient service for guest arrival, stay, and departure while supporting room revenue and occupancy at Kimpton Palladian Hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive guest service during check-in, throughout the stay, and checkout
- Answer guest inquiries for restaurants, transportation, entertainment, and related requests
- Handle reservations by collecting necessary details and following the rate-quoting scenario
- Follow all cash handling and credit policies
- Maintain current knowledge of rates, packages, and special promotions listed in the Red Book
- Stay informed on in-house groups, including closed out and restricted dates
- Use hospitality terminology correctly in guest interactions
- Apply emergency procedures knowledge and assist as needed
- Complete shift tasks efficiently using the shift checklist
- Operate the Front Desk computer system and manage front desk operational workflows
- Perform administrative closeout duties, including balancing and preparing individual paperwork for shift closing per hotel standards
- Complete required reports, including a bucket check, room rate verification report, and housekeeping report
- Maintain and market promotions and guest programs
- Keep the work area clean
- Assist guests with safe deposit boxes
- Use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with other employees
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- College course work in a related field helpful
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Computer experience required
- Customer service experience preferred
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with employees and guests at all levels in a courteous, service-oriented manner
- Listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests
- Multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, based on scheduling needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag
- Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to support safe and efficient operations
- Contribute to productivity by identifying problem areas and assisting with solution implementation
- Handle problems by anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving as necessary
- Understand and apply complex information and data from multiple sources to meet objectives
- Cross-train in other hotel-related areas
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Show initiative by anticipating guest and operational needs

Pay: USD 24 per hourly
