Front Desk Receptionist / Night Shift

The Historic Blue Moon Hotel is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist for the night shift. This onsite role supports smooth front desk operations, high-quality guest service throughout the night, and effective communication between guests and hotel staff.

Schedule

Night shift coverage is required, including weekend availability.

Pay

$17.00 per hour (USD)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide night shift front desk support while maintaining hotel standards during overnight hours.
• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival to support a positive first impression.
• Manage check-in and check-out using property management systems (PMS) such as Mews (paid training is available).
• Answer guest inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism, courtesy, and clear communication.
• Coordinate reservations, modifications, cancellations, and special requests using hospitality reservation systems.
• Assist with laundry as needed.
• Bring up and put back garbage cans on evening and night shifts.
• Keep the work area and common areas fresh and clean.
• Address guest concerns or emergencies promptly by following hotel emergency procedures, offering solutions or escalating as required.
• Maintain security protocols overnight by monitoring CCTV, controlling access points, and completing routine safety checks.

Requirements

• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to support guest interactions and client communication (not mandatory).
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on problem-solving and guest relations.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for efficient inquiry handling during night hours.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining hospitality and security standards.
• Previous experience in hotel management or front desk roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
