House Person Banquets

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet rooms according to event orders and diagrams.
• Arrange tables, chairs, linens, and other necessary items as per event specifications.
• Assist in loading and unloading of equipment and supplies for events.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of banquet areas throughout events.
• Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of banquet spaces after events.
• Provide assistance to banquet servers and bartenders as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any maintenance issues in rooms, public areas, and equipment to management.

Requirements

• Able to read, write and speak English.
• Know the menu for each function served and be able to explain the major ingredients and preparation method for each item being served.
• Know and use “suggestive selling” techniques.

Physical Requirements

• Be able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to move from place to place in the kitchen and up stairs.
• Ability to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to hear and communicate with others.
