Lead Barista

This on-site Lead Barista role at Black Rock Mountain Resort, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, places you in the heart of our guest-focused beverage service in Kamas, Utah. Earn USD 20 to 22 per hour and take on a leadership position that includes coaching and guiding a small barista team, ensuring consistent drink quality and service for every guest interaction.

Responsibilities

• Model excellent guest service by delivering warm, engaging, and efficient interactions in every shift.
• Oversee barista staff during assignments, providing real-time coaching to maintain performance standards.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new baristas to ensure uniform drink preparation and service quality.
• Open and close the market as needed, handling setup, breakdown, and checklist completion.
• Monitor stock levels throughout the shift and coordinate restocking to prevent shortages.
• Maintain proper labeling, storage, and rotation of all products in line with health and safety rules.
• Keep the coffee station and market area clean and organized at all times.
• Process cash and POS transactions accurately and assist teammates with transaction issues as they arise.
• Communicate equipment issues, guest concerns, or team needs to the F and B Manager in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory tracking and submitting supply requests to management.
• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards and ensure the team follows them consistently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of barista experience, with at least one year in a lead, senior, or supervisory capacity preferred.
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, drink recipes, and coffee equipment operation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
• Comfortable handling guest concerns with professionalism and confidence.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
