Line Cook

Line Cook role in Tucson, AZ onsite at The Leo Kent Hotel, supporting a fast-paced hotel restaurant with consistent, high-quality cooking and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items using standardized recipes while meeting quality expectations
• Help support menu planning and contribute new dish ideas to enhance the dining experience
• Follow strict food safety and sanitation practices during food handling and preparation
• Keep the kitchen clean, including equipment, utensils, and work stations
• Coordinate with kitchen team members to help ensure orders are delivered on time
• Assist with inventory support by managing inventory levels and helping with supply orders as needed
• Plate dishes for an attractive presentation and maintain portion control for consistency
• Support catering, banquet events, and special functions as required
• Adhere to dietary guidelines when preparing meals for special dietary needs or restrictions
• Follow all health regulations and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles in a restaurant or food industry setting
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Experience with menu planning, food presentation, and fine dining service preferred
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent organization skills and strong multitasking ability
• Prior experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
• Knowledge of catering operations and serving is advantageous
• Culinary experience with an emphasis on food industry best practices is desirable
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
