Job Description

The Crescent Hotel Fort Worth invites you to join a collaborative, career-forward sales team onsite in Fort Worth, TX. This Task Force Catering Sales Manager role centers on building familiarity with accounts in your market, pursuing new opportunities, and closing deals that positively drive hotel revenue. Responsibilities

  • Participate in the daily Highgate Hotel Business Review (HHBR) to align on priorities.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of hotel operations, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services, and Reservations.
  • Master the company sales policies and SOPs, ensuring the sales team adheres to them.
  • Strive to meet or exceed established revenue goals.
  • Manage the Sales Department within the approved sales expense budget.
  • Provide required M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled.
  • Initiate and follow up on sales leads to build a robust pipeline.
  • Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.
  • Monitor top accounts and analyze market trends to inform strategy.
  • Maintain regular contact with existing accounts according to the Account Coverage Program.
  • Achieve or surpass sales solicitation call goals as directed by the Director of Sales.
  • Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, meals, tours, and site inspections.
  • Assist in implementing direct sales promotions such as parties and sales blitzes.
  • Prepare required reports promptly and accurately.
  • Know Highgate Hotel sales policies and selling techniques, with a focus on maximizing occupancy and ADR.
  • Conduct professional site inspections with clients, highlighting the property’s key features and benefits.
  • Utilize the property’s sales management system to manage business, generate reports, enter opportunities, block space, and build accounts.
  • Greet onsite contacts and manage relationships with clients and partners.
  • Adhere to Prime Selling Time (PST) guidelines.
  • Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations, activities, and events.
  • Review meeting planner evaluations with the Director of Sales to ensure timely follow-up on issues.
  • Entertain clients as part of relationship-building efforts.
  • Handle inquiries through the Inquiry Day Program as needed.

  • Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings.
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with Highgate Hotel Standards, with scheduling varying by hotel needs.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to support safe, efficient operations.
  • Maximize productivity by identifying issues and helping implement solutions.
  • Effectively handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving them as needed.
  • Interpret and evaluate complex information from multiple sources to meet objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
