Responsibilities
As a Banquet Line Cook, you will prepare food items according to designated recipes and established quality standards, helping deliver consistent, timely products for guests and events. Your work will support smooth kitchen operations, including maintaining a clean and organized station.
- Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold kitchen hygiene standards
- Comply with food sanitation standards and ensure proper safety and sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment
- Produce a consistent product in a timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of menus and all food products
- Stock and maintain designated food stations
- Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
- Practice correct food handling and storage procedures in line with federal, state, local, and company regulations
- Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items
- Complete other assigned tasks from the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred, but not required
- Food and sanitation certified preferred
- Good working knowledge of accepted sanitation standards
- 1–4 years of banquet culinary or high-volume culinary experience
- Availability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English to communicate with colleagues and supervisors
- Enthusiastic, experienced, and passionate about food
- Ability to foster and uphold a culture of respect, learning, and positivity among colleagues
- Eager to research, develop, and learn as an enthusiastic culinarian
Work Environment
The role requires physical activity throughout the shift, including repetitive arm-hand movements such as slicing and chopping, as well as repeated bending or stooping to remove items from stoves, ovens, refrigerators, or freezers. You will also clean work areas and equipment using broom, mop, sponge, and cleaning solutions, and move objects between 20–50 lbs over short distances while standing and walking for extended periods.
