Busser

The Busser position at Hotel Capstone in Tuscaloosa, AL (onsite) supports day-to-day dining and catering operations in a casual dining restaurant setting. This part-time role assists servers and helps maintain a clean, well-stocked dining area while ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist servers with setting up tables and preparing the dining area for service.
• Clear tables and clean them promptly after guests have finished their meals.
• Refill water glasses and provide additional condiments or utensils as needed.
• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to support timely delivery of food and beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing tables.
• Support catering events by helping set up and break down event spaces, serving food, and providing customer service during event service.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or hospitality preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene practices.
• Strong customer service skills to support a positive dining experience for guests.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing priorities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from supervisors.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy trays or equipment when necessary.
