Job Description

Join 1 Hotel Austin, L.L.C. in Austin, TX, onsite, as a Cook II. This role supports daily culinary operations with a focus on quality, teamwork, and consistency during busy service periods. You will prepare food to recipe specifications, ensure the use of high quality ingredients, and help uphold restaurant standards when the pace is fast. The position offers hands-on cooking experience and the opportunity to grow through on-the-job learning, including the possibility to obtain a Food Handling certification during employment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food according to recipe specifications.
  • Ensure that all ingredients used in dishes are of the highest quality.
  • Support the overall success of daily culinary operations.
  • Maintain restaurant standards and composure under pressure during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Minimum 2 years of related kitchen experience.
  • Reliable team player willing to learn and adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Food Handling certification (can be obtained during employment).
  • Flexible with varying schedules, including holidays.
