This onsite role in Billings, MT offers a pay rate of $19.00 per hour and requires a High School diploma or equivalent. As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will lead a team of room cleaners to deliver clean, guest-ready spaces, perform quality checks, and collaborate with other hotel departments to uphold standards and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities
- Supervise room cleaners to ensure prompt, efficient cleaning of guest rooms
- Verify daily cleaning records and notify the front desk of outcomes
- Oversee last-minute room-change requests
- Inspect check-out and stay-over rooms after cleaning to ensure adherence to company standards
- Maintain daily records of room checkouts and stay-overs and submit them to housekeeping
- Monitor room quality by conducting and documenting inspections of cleaned rooms
- Prepare maintenance work orders for furniture or fixture repairs and ensure completion
- Track room status and communicate changes to room cleaners
- Inspect VIP rooms and early morning make-up rooms
- Coordinate cleaning priorities based on guest requests, VIP status, check-outs, and anticipated occupancy
- Inspect floor linen closets daily for cleanliness, supplies, and linens
- Ensure carts are stored properly and vacuum cleaners are emptied at day end
- Assist with quarterly linen inventory
- Maintain safety by keeping linen chutes locked when not in use
- Coordinate housekeeping activities with front desk, engineering, banquet services, and room service
- Aim to delight guests through attentive, courteous service while upholding company standards
- Assist in training and directing new department staff
- Ensure consistent application of housekeeping quality standards, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to enhance communication and guest satisfaction
- Assist in daily maintenance of room inventory to optimize revenue while meeting guest expectations
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards
- Most tasks are performed indoors in a temperature-controlled environment
- Walking and standing for the majority of the shift; ability to move across the hotel as needed
- Ability to walk and direct team members throughout the shift
- Must be able to exert well-paced effort to reach other departments in a timely manner
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly
- Ability to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work in limited space; bend, stoop, squat, and stretch as needed
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and good visual acuity
- Continuous talking and hearing for effective communication with guests and staff
- Near and depth vision to perform inspections and tasks
- Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and tools
- Strong passion for people and service, with excellent communication skills
- Reading and writing abilities for paperwork and record-keeping
- Basic math skills for handling cash or transactions as needed
- Problem-solving, coaching, and training abilities
- Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
