Steward - Events

Steward – Events at Seaview Hotel in Galloway, NJ (onsite) oversees the cleanliness, inventory, and issuance of banquet and restaurant equipment. The position offers a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a pay rate of $16 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand
• Store clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in designated storage areas
• Assist with food and tray preparation as required
• Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Adhere to the Hyatt Values of Respect, Integrity, Humility, Empathy, Creativity, and Fun
• The employee is accountable for all duties of this position and additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including rain, wind, snow, and heat
• Must be able to walk, get in and out of vehicles, and operate a vehicle frequently, with occasional stair climbing
• Capable of repetitive lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 15 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds
• Frequent twisting, bending, and squatting; occasional kneeling or crawling; infrequent ladder climbing
• Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements, pushing and pulling, and simple grasping; occasional squeezing, overhead reaching, and fine manipulation
