Job Description

This Steward Utility Cleaner position is directed by the Executive Steward and focuses on keeping food and beverage venues clean while maintaining an orderly kitchen. The work includes deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and facilities to help maintain safe, sanitary conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment including cutting board, steam tables, deep fryers, boiler, ovens, steamers, stock pots, speed racks, shelves, and walk-in refrigerators and freezers, as well as the dishwashing machine.
  • Remove trash and laundry bags and transport items to laundry pick-up or dumpsters.
  • Clean and wash garbage cans.
  • Sort trash, recycling, and cardboard in kitchen areas.
  • Clean ceiling tiles, vents, light fixtures, upper walls, window glass, and other items requiring ladders over six (6) feet or a mechanical lift.
  • Clean all flooring, including sweeping and mopping wood, tile, and vinyl flooring, using power equipment as needed.
  • Remove, transport, clean, and return mats.
  • Clean drains and walls.
  • Takes apart and clean stoves and surrounding areas.
  • Clean under and around equipment by pulling out equipment on wheels.
  • Clean hoods/boilers, including pulling filters and checking drip pans.
  • Stock and maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Assist with storage and organization of shipment stock as needed.
  • Respond to calls for trash, laundry, spills, and related needs to support guest satisfaction.
  • Respond quickly to emergency calls or refer to a supervisor as needed.
  • Perform minor maintenance checks and repairs on dishwashing machines.
  • Communicate issues and concerns to supervisor or kitchen management.
  • Maintain health regulations to help prevent foodborne illnesses.
  • Ensure compliance with and enforcement of HACCP and hygiene standards, including cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, food areas that are clean and presentable, and temperature tracking.
  • Comply with applicable governmental laws and regulations; follow company and departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of relevant work experience in Stewarding or Environmental Services.
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties.
  • Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, co-workers, and management to ensure Safety protocols are followed.
  • Knowledge of general sanitary and safety standards and practices.
  • Obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission.
  • Pre-employment drug testing required for all positions.
  • Marijuana use will not disqualify applicants for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I).
  • DOT panel testing required for the Driver position.

Compensation and Schedule

  • Pay rate: $21.91/hr - $23/hr (dependent on experience)
  • Shift: 10pm-6am, weekends required
