Job Description

Lead the stewarding team to keep the kitchen and dish room operating smoothly and maintain strict control of food and beverage service items.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise stewarding staff and oversee set up and breakdown station operations
  • Maintain tight control of china, glassware, and silver between all food and beverage departments
  • Sort, ensure proper cleaning, and return items to storage
  • Maintain a sanitary kitchen and a clean dish room
  • Assist with training new stewarding team members
  • Supervise and/or conduct inventory of glassware and stewarding supplies
  • Perform tasks in the capacity of any position supervised, as needed
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors that encourage employees to meet and exceed standards
  • Attend all mandatory meetings
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the manager

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Steward Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is mandatory
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
